Big Sur Incoming Fog Coastline - California

Driving up the Pacific Coast Highway this phenomenon appeared as if out of nowhere. Parking up and grabbing my plate camera I hurriedly set it up, composed the image and quickly captured this image …within seconds I was then encapsulated in mist. The softness of the mist on top of the shimmering water gives this image an air of eerieness contrasting with the craggy outline of the coast underlines the vastness of the scene.
